Innovative hoteliers are looking for new ways to impress, and a slew of artistically-minded ones have hit the jackpot with the themed rooms concept. Why choose one interior style when you can have a series of radically different ones for each room, giving patrons good reason to come back again and again to experience them all? From Madrid to Copenhagen, Cape Town to Paris, the themed-room hotel is now officially a hot trend, providing a backdrop for the innovative work of many high profile artists, designers and sundry other creative types who hoteliers have called in to create unique mini-worlds within their four walls that tell their own stories. Here’s our pick of the world’s top ten.

In one of the essays in Mythologies, Barthes acknowledges the "quick-change artistry of plastic" but then goes on to say that "plastic is, all told, a spectacle to be deciphered: the very spectacle of its end-products" (with spectacle being a somewhat technical term meaning "the interplay of action, representation and alienation in man and in society").
For Barthes, plastic becomes the ultimate sign of transmutation: "Plastic, sublimated as movement, hardly exists as substance." In fact:
"The hierarchy of substances is abolished: a single one replaces them all: the whole world can be plasticized, and even life itself since, we are told, they are beginning to make plastic aortas."

the gate is an intermediate, ambiguous space -
neither inside or out.the traditional houses of japan
and korea possess an openness and spatial flexibility
that cultivated a space where humans and nature co-exist.
suh's use of fabric strengthens the sense of blurred boundaries.

Vakar, skirtingai nuo kitų darbo dienų,  Morka nusprende užsnusti saulėto kambario atokaitoje. Susirangė minkštame fotelyje ir kutenamas jazminų kvapo bei Gorano Bergovičiaus (žmogaus kurio kencerto taip ir nepamate, tačiau turi visą jo diskografija MP3 formate) čigoniškų gitarų akordų jis grimzdo į savo gilius samonės ir racionalaus mastymo nepšviestus rūsius.

Išmuštas prakaito užstrigęs kompaktas ciksejo rėždamas ausis. Morka nubudo ir eilini kartą suprato, kad meno nera. Tai, kuo jis šventai tikėjo mokykloje, tai, prie ko ėjo ilga savo gyvenimo atkarpa, pasirodo tik mirazas. Jautriai paveiktas į samonę sugrįžusios tiesos dar gerą valanda žiurėjo į apsiniaukusį dangų ir iš miško ateinantį vakarinį rūką. Atsiminė, kaip po kiekvienos paskaitos apie postmodernizmą jis tyliai sliūkindavo namo, lyg po artimo draugo laidotuvių. Manė atsikratęs to nenusakomos beprasmybes jausmo.
Toli grazu ne.
