Humans as part of the place.
Newspaper sellers, cafe waiters and other public workers
spend a lot of time in one place. they see instinctly wisiting people.

Its interesting how live people become a monuments in the place.

Is there any places where people remember you?

Rygoj turetu buti juodas katinas.
Ir siaip, katinai ir balandziai
- tokios dvasios,
su kuriomis tapatinamos vietos.

ps. o paveiksliuka man padere [info]sylys

Sugalvojau, kad neblogai atrodytu Zoologijos sodas, kuriame suoliukai butu krokodilai, o siuksliadezes - issizhioje begemotai, sviestuvai - zhirafos. :)

in this Hungarian town where I've lived a while there is a bronze statue of a lady holding sunflowers as if she were waiting for somebody to arrive so she could give them to that person. She is sitting on a regular park bench along the riverside... obviously is attached to bench which is attached to the ground. She looks pensive... as if she is meeting somebody she has not seen in years. Perhaps a child who left the home.

Of course, I like the real human monuments such as the Albanian lady at the cafe where I go for sandwiches on Friday evening after a long week. Or the really flamboyant guy who works behind the bar at the tea house.

Of course, there is always my truly beloved... a monument next to whom I often find myself sleeping in the warmest of gratitude. Humbling and empowering, calming yet invigorating. He is not some static being who offers me some service but rather a fluid statuesque being who's life breathes through mine.

There is some kind of literature in the space.
Place gets the story.

You should also agree that eating sandwiches on Fryday after a long week in the same place near the same table you become a part of that place.

Monuments in the city and streets named in honour of people are the part of memory too.

Thats realy amazing how we give names to the places, we say : "lets meet near "Frank Zappa"

Ventspilyje (Latvija) yra tokis varinis diedulis ant suolelio (per patį suolelio vidurį, tai galima prie jo prisėst ir jis niekuomet nepyskta) :) Nepamenu tiksliai, kas jis, rods, rašytojas. Fotografavau savo bendražygę, įsikomponavusią prie jo ;)

prie Klaipedos traukiniu stoties yra tokia moteriske a la Zemaite su vaikuciu ir lagaminu. Zmogaus dydzio. Vaikutis nesa meskiuka. Kiekviena kartai kai einu, vis tiek pagalvoju sekundei, kad tikri praeiviai.
